Trick or Treat

Today was kind of a fun day. I was really dreading the trick or treat thing but we actually had fun. First we went to Cleveland to trick or treat at Marty's, Ashlee insisted and my kids usually get what they want so we went. That is probably why they are monsters but oh well. Then it was off to Grandpa Bills and Grandma Carols. After going those three places we could have been done they had plenty of candy. But we decided to go around the neighborhood it was a perfect night not to cold in fact it was just right. They ended up with a ton of candy. Makayla went as Sleeping Beauty and Ashlee was a Knight. So here are the pictures I didn't get to many or as many as I wanted so these will have to do. And I missed the babies costume but I got some cute ones of him out of his costume.

Carving Pumpkins!!!!!!!!!!

We had a blast today!! We carved pumpkins and this year it was tons more fun I guess maybe cause the girls are a little older. We had ice cream and carved pumpkins total fun. I hope that they will last until Friday. I had to try to find time to do it before Friday and today was it. The best part is the pumpkins were grown at the station and I got to help grow them. The girls think that is the coolest thing ever. (thanks Marty the girls think your the best.) Ashlee had to have wolfs carved in hers and Makayla did a kitty really cute and so much. Here are some pictures of our fun.

Ashlee enjoyed this part way to much!!!!!!

The girls are taking dance and both of them love it. That is until the pom-poms come out then Ashlee is done but she did participate more then usual the other day. She likes the hip-hop and jazz but as for the ballet and cheer leading she stops when they start doing that. Kind of funny. But I did get some good pics of her doing things I never thought she would so I thought I would share. And of course there are really cute ones of Makayla:) Sorry that is it for know I didn't think I could blog about anything good or positive so I decided to put these pictures up.

Stretching

Yep doing ballet!!!(for a second anyways)

Makayla busting a move:)

Another Blog

I know that I have been blogging a bunch but there has been so much happening in life this last little while. Things have been kind of crappy but I hope I haven't made this a place to complain. The baby came home today YEA! I am so happy he is doing really well no seizures for a while. I am sure he will have one here and there and its not like it is really that big of a deal, but it seems that his meds are working out pretty well and they have gotten his levels worked out. I guess with seizures being the result of this is not so bad since it could have been tons worse. I am so thankful that it wasn't any worse. The first couple of days were a little scary cause he was so not himself and the thought of not having our same little guy around was kind of sad. But after all the meds wore off and between doses of the ones that make him drowsy he was back to himself in fact he said my name for he first time it was so cool.

He came to the house when he got home so mom and dad could go move his bed and make it safe for him we had a blast just playing he loved the swing and to just be outside for a while.

Some Fun

We did have some fun between visits at the hospital. Me and the girls ran away for a couple of ours and went to the Zoo. We had a blast it was kind of nice to do something with my girls just me and them. Sorry I know that is alot of pictures but we had so much fun. Then yesterday we spent the day together before I headed back to Salt Lake. We had so much fun there also. And an update on the baby he is doing well he finally started acting like himself last night he has not had a seizure since yesterday at 1:30 they have him on 2 different meds that seem to be working but they make him quite drowsy when they give it to him but he will soon get used to it and hopefully he will get past all of this. This has been one of the most terrible things that I have had to deal with and I have to say it is so nice to have good friends who are there to listen and give good advice Thanks a ton and I love ya.

Update

So here is the latest on the baby We got the MRI results yesterday and unfortunately it wasn't what we wanted to hear. But as a result of wrapping himself up in his blanket to tight he suffered brain damage from a lack of oxygen. So that explains the high blood sugar and the seizures. For those who don't know there are two things your brain has to have to function it is oxygen and sugar. So his body was compensating by releasing all the sugar, it is a survival mechanism that our bodies have to try and survive when it is in trouble. He is still having the seizures he had 5 yesterday and has had 3 already today. They are unsure of a prognosis as far as the seizures and how the damage is going to effect him long term. They say that if it didn't kill the cells and just damaged them there is a good chance he will regain what he has lost and the seizures may stop. So if you have babies please be careful what you put in their cribs small blankets and no pillows. Anything that could possible get wrapped around them or cause them to have trouble breathing if it ends up over there face doesn't belong in a babies crib. I am trying not to place blame but I do have to say I am very frustrated and upset at the whole thing. I will try to keep this all updated so everyone knows what is going on.

A Scary Day

So today my day started off with a call from my baby brother. At first all he says is I need you to take me to Price. Kind of weird since he has his own vehicle and goes all the time. So I asked what the deal was and he told me that our baby was headed to the hospital in the ambulance. This morning they went to wake him to cuddle which I guess is a routine thing they do with him when the other kids are gone. When Jesse went in the room he said all he could see was his blanket so he want to move it off of him cause he thought he was just covered and he realized that the baby had rolled himself up in it. When he got him out he was limp and not responding to them at all and was bluish grey. Fortunately by the time we got to the hospital he was crying case he was pissed off. We were told he had RSV and his blood sugar was 400. They say that is a normal response when the body gets in trouble. They flew him to Primary Childerens. They did a work up there and they said he didn't have RSV. So right now we really don't know what the deal is if it had to do with being in the blanket or if he has something else going on. But he is a pretty miserable baby. He had to wait forever to eat an now he is hooked up to all kids of monitors and he hates it. When we left tonight he was just flat out pissed but he sure isn't himself and he wasn't last night when we seen him either so hopefully they will get to the bottom of it. He has an IV in his head that he hates and one in his hand and of course it is the one he usually sucks his thumb He doesn't like he other one so that made him mad too.

The Last Week

So the past week has been ok so far. Other then the tonsillitis that was really miserable and still has not gone completely away. But I do realize compared to what others I love have experienced this week it could be tons worse. I really need to go get a tonsillectomy but who the hell has time for that. Not really sure where this is going but I have felt pretty good besides that. I actually feel like life may be going not necessarily in the right direction but it is starting to feel like it is going in some direction. (hope that makes sense). I am really excited about all the new things I am learning it is so awesome to understand things a little bit better. The whole I know why that happens because of this and you do this to fix it is pretty amazing. That may sound stupid to some but I am sure others really understand what I mean about it. Work has been pretty crazy lately with a lot of new learning experiences. But it wouldn't be my thing if it wasn't crazy now would it? Now for some really cute pictures I got of my monsters. Ashlee and this baby are like best buds I am thinking she is that way with him cause she can trust that he cant hurt her in anyway.

We finally got to see baby Lily she is 2 months old and this is the first time I have seen her she is such a good baby and so cute. It was really cute when we put Jesse by her he got so excited and didn't stop smiling while she was by him.

I got these pictures of the girls when we went up the canyon to see the colors and ended up with some pretty cute pictures. I usually don't get good ones of Ashlee and I love this one.

Just a quick post

So this has definitely been the week from hell. It all started on Tuesday at work I cant say obviously because the whole patient confidentiality thing but it was the day from hell. Then on Thursday my dumb ass volunteered for the mock mine disaster. We were paged out at 730 and sat there til about 2 before we even seen a patient kind of a drag. Just sitting around just isnt my thing for sure. But I guess at least we were all able to see how it all works and give everyone the opportunity to prepare for the worst. And this was a pretty big deal I mean I googled it and it is all over the place. But anyways that was my week but it did get a bit better today when I took my test I actually knew the information I need it was awesome. Team work is definitely the way to go as far as studying thanks team and team mom we would be screwed without you;)
